CALL FOR APPLICANTS: NIGERIA FSTP SUB-GRANT UNDER THE CAI

Call for Applicants: Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP) Sub-Grant under the Corporate Accountability Initiative (CAI)

The CAI (Corporate Accountability Initiative) is an initiative aimed at strengthening the accountability of economic actors for human rights violations committed throughout value chains, with a particular focus on private security service providers. Co-financed by the European Union, it is the result of a collaboration between ICoCA, TRIAL International, OEARSE RDC, African Law Foundation, CDD-Centro Para Democracia e Direitos Humanos, the Iraqi Human Rights Defenders and Activists Consortium, INDEPAZ and IEPADES Guatemala.

The initiative is launching a call for applications for the award of a Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP) sub-grant to carry out an advocacy project that contribute to strengthening corporate accountability and respect for human rights in Nigeria.

Proposed projects should have a clear advocacy objective and seek to influence relevant policies, laws, regulations, institutional practices and/or corporate behaviour.

Sub-grant amount: 10 000 EUR

Duration: 4 to 6 months

Only one project will be selected under this sub-grant.

Eligibility: Applicants must be a civil society organisation, non-governmental organisation or other non-profit entity and:

• be a registered legal entity in Nigeria, operational for at least 3 years;
• have demonstrated capacity in advocacy, policy engagement and/or corporate accountability;
• have a functional accounting system to accurately record all project-related financial transactions.
