WATED intervient dans toute la r\u00e9gion de l&rsquo;Afrique de l&rsquo;Est pour plaider en faveur de la mise en \u0153uvre des lois sur les entreprises de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 priv\u00e9e et du Code de conduite international des prestataires de services de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 priv\u00e9e (le Code). Avec une petite \u00e9quipe de 4 personnes, WATED s&rsquo;engage activement aupr\u00e8s des agences gouvernementales, des minist\u00e8res et des coalitions nationales, r\u00e9gionales et internationales afin d&rsquo;apporter des solutions tangibles et durables.<\/p>\n<p>WATED travaille en \u00e9troite collaboration avec la Plateforme pour le Genre, la S\u00e9curit\u00e9 Priv\u00e9e et les Droits de l&rsquo;Homme (PRISEP), une institution apolitique et non gouvernementale cr\u00e9\u00e9e en juillet 2021 sous sa direction. La plateforme vise \u00e0 rassembler des associations de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 priv\u00e9e, des syndicats, des entreprises, des ex-miliciens \u00e0 la retraite, des avocats, des OSC, des universitaires et des repr\u00e9sentants du gouvernement pour d\u00e9velopper des ESP avanc\u00e9es qui donnent la priorit\u00e9 \u00e0 la responsabilit\u00e9, \u00e0 la transparence et \u00e0 la promotion du genre et des droits de l&rsquo;homme. PRISEP se concentre sur la recherche, la formation, les partenariats, la mise en r\u00e9seau et l&rsquo;engagement communautaire fond\u00e9s sur des donn\u00e9es probantes, afin de mettre en place des CSP accessibles, responsables et transparents qui respectent le code. Maria Matui, Directrice Ex\u00e9cutive de WATED, est donc <em>\u00ab\u00a0reconnaissante envers la <a href=\"https:\/\/icoca.learningpool.com\/\">plateforme d&rsquo;apprentissage en ligne d&rsquo;ICoCA\u00a0\u00bb<\/a><\/em>, qui est librement accessible \u00e0 tous les membres et affili\u00e9s d&rsquo;ICoCA. En devenant membre d&rsquo;ICoCA, WATED entend renforcer son expertise et collaborer avec d&rsquo;autres parties prenantes pour relever les d\u00e9fis auxquels sont confront\u00e9es les ESP en Tanzanie.<\/p>\n<p>En tant que membre de coalitions et de r\u00e9seaux nationaux, r\u00e9gionaux et internationaux travaillant sur les droits de l&rsquo;homme et le genre, et gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des partenariats solides avec des agences gouvernementales et des minist\u00e8res travaillant sur ces questions, <em>\u00ab\u00a0WATED est particuli\u00e8rement bien plac\u00e9 pour rassembler diverses parties prenantes et d\u00e9fendre son programme au niveau national\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>, explique Mme Matui. En donnant la priorit\u00e9 aux partenariats et aux engagements, WATED cherche \u00e0 trouver des solutions durables aux d\u00e9fis auxquels l&rsquo;humanit\u00e9 est confront\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maintien d&rsquo;une Collaboration \u00c9troite avec ICoCA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>WATED a particip\u00e9 activement \u00e0 plusieurs interventions et projets en collaboration avec ICoCA. R\u00e9sultat concret de cette \u00e9tude, PRISEP a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 sous la supervision de la WATED dans le but de rassembler les diff\u00e9rentes parties prenantes afin de d\u00e9velopper des ESP responsables, transparents et respectueses de l&rsquo;\u00e9galit\u00e9 des sexes par le biais de la recherche, de la formation, des partenariats, de la mise en r\u00e9seau et de l&rsquo;engagement des communaut\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>En 2023, WATED s&rsquo;est \u00e9galement associ\u00e9 au Usalama Reforms Forum, une autre OSC Membre d&rsquo;ICoCA, pour le lancement du rapport d&rsquo;ICoCA sur les conditions de travail dans le secteur de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 priv\u00e9e en Afrique de l&rsquo;Est. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ces initiatives, l&rsquo;organisation a identifi\u00e9 les d\u00e9fis communs auxquels sont confront\u00e9es les ESP dans les pays d&rsquo;Afrique de l&rsquo;Est, tels que l&rsquo;in\u00e9galit\u00e9 entre les sexes, les violations des droits de l&rsquo;homme et les probl\u00e8mes de d\u00e9veloppement. Selon Mme Matui, <em>\u00ab\u00a0les interactions entre ICoCA, les repr\u00e9sentants des gouvernements, les OSC et les ESP ont ouvert la voie \u00e0 de futures collaborations et cr\u00e9\u00e9 des opportunit\u00e9s de plaider en faveur de lois sur les ESP et de la mise en \u0153uvre d&rsquo;une perspective de genre et de droits de l&rsquo;homme au sein de l&rsquo;industrie\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Pour l&rsquo;avenir, WATED entrevoit le potentiel d&rsquo;une collaboration et de partenariats accrus avec ICoCA, favorisant un effort commun pour cr\u00e9er un environnement plus s\u00fbr et plus inclusif dans le secteur de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 priv\u00e9e. Dans le cadre de cet engagement, WATED m\u00e8ne activement des recherches sur le genre et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 priv\u00e9e, avec l&rsquo;intention de partager ses conclusions et ses id\u00e9es avec ICoCA.<\/p>\n<p>ICoCA et WATED f\u00eateront toutes deux leur dixi\u00e8me anniversaire en 2023.
