Junto con los miembros de la sociedad civil African Law Foundation y el Centro Para Democracia e Direitos Humanos (CDD), ICoCA fue coanfitriona del taller \u00abRendici\u00f3n de cuentas corporativa: seguridad privada y extracci\u00f3n responsable de recursos naturales\u00bb, que reuni\u00f3 a representantes gubernamentales, empresas, organizaciones de la sociedad civil y comunidades.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2591\" data-end=\"3218\">Sobre la base del proyecto en curso apoyado por la Uni\u00f3n Europea, el taller analiz\u00f3 los desaf\u00edos y las responsabilidades de los proveedores de seguridad privada que operan en contextos fr\u00e1giles o afectados por conflictos. Los debates destacaron el papel fundamental de la sociedad civil en la supervisi\u00f3n y denuncia de abusos vinculados a la seguridad privada, la necesidad de una colaboraci\u00f3n multipartita m\u00e1s s\u00f3lida y la importancia de garantizar el acceso a mecanismos de reparaci\u00f3n para las comunidades afectadas. Asimismo, los participantes examinaron formas de mejorar las condiciones laborales del personal de seguridad.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3220\" data-end=\"3599\">El Director Ejecutivo de ICoCA aport\u00f3 perspectivas pr\u00e1cticas y ejemplos de casos, animando a las partes interesadas a pasar de los compromisos a una implementaci\u00f3n concreta.
