El 22 de mayo de 2024, durante una mesa redonda en el Foro de la OCDE sobre Cadenas Responsables de Suministro de Minerales, la consultora present\u00f3 sus conclusiones preliminares, en las que se hac\u00eda hincapi\u00e9 en las duras condiciones de trabajo a las que se enfrentan los guardias de seguridad privados del sector. Estas condiciones tienen consecuencias para la salud mental y f\u00edsica del personal, sus relaciones, su rendimiento y su vida fuera del trabajo.<\/p>\n<p>Pero Jael tambi\u00e9n destac\u00f3 un caso de buenas pr\u00e1cticas para el compromiso comunitario en la industria. Un ejemplo es <a href=\"https:\/\/icoca.ch\/es\/case-studies\/geita-gold-mine\/\">el estudio de caso de ICoCA sobre la <strong>mina de oro de Geita de AngloGold Ashanti<\/strong>, en Tanzania<\/a>, un magn\u00edfico ejemplo de modelo innovador de colaboraci\u00f3n integrada en materia de seguridad. En este modelo participan la polic\u00eda de proximidad, las fuerzas de seguridad locales, la seguridad interna y los servicios de seguridad privada prestados por un miembro certificado de ICoCA. La colaboraci\u00f3n no s\u00f3lo garantiza la seguridad de las operaciones mineras, sino que tambi\u00e9n beneficia a las comunidades circundantes.<\/p>\n<p>El debate tambi\u00e9n puso de relieve el papel fundamental de los sindicatos. Aunque a menudo se les deja de lado en los debates, los sindicatos son partes interesadas clave cuya participaci\u00f3n es crucial para dar forma al di\u00e1logo en torno a las condiciones de trabajo en el sector de la seguridad privada. El trabajo, que rara vez se considera un riesgo, deber\u00eda serlo.
