Bas\u00e1ndose en di\u00e1logos anteriores con otras instituciones europeas, ha sido una oportunidad para seguir explorando c\u00f3mo la UE y sus Estados miembros pueden prestar apoyo a ICoCA en su misi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Durante varios a\u00f1os, se ha planteado a las instituciones de la UE la preocupaci\u00f3n por los riesgos para los derechos humanos asociados a unas pr\u00e1cticas de seguridad inadecuadas, pero se ha eludido la adopci\u00f3n de medidas globales. Sin embargo, a la luz del aumento de las aprensiones relacionadas con entidades como el Grupo Wagner y otros actores malignos identificados, puede que se est\u00e9 produciendo un cambio de perspectiva.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, la inminente adopci\u00f3n de la Directiva de la UE sobre la Diligencia Debida en Materia de Sostenibilidad Empresarial (CSDDD, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) encierra un potencial significativo, siempre que se aplique de forma s\u00f3lida con medidas de acompa\u00f1amiento. Reconociendo que las malas pr\u00e1cticas en materia de seguridad plantean riesgos inherentes, es razonable prever que las empresas, como m\u00ednimo, tengan la obligaci\u00f3n de informar sobre la seguridad privada en sus cadenas de suministro mundiales.<\/p>\n<p>Dado el papel polifac\u00e9tico de la UE como usuaria de seguridad privada, reguladora e instituci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica comprometida con la defensa de los derechos humanos, existe una oportunidad sustancial para elevar los est\u00e1ndares dentro del sector de la seguridad privada.
