Nosotros, representantes de organizaciones de la sociedad civil miembros de la Asociacio\u0301n Co\u0301digo Internacional de Conducta, deseamos extender nuestro ma\u0301s sincero apoyo y solidaridad tras las recientes amenazas proferidas por un grupo de disidentes de las FARC contra Leonardo Gonza\u0301lez, Director del Observatorio de Derechos Humanos y Conflictividades, miembro de ICoCA, que ha estado trabajando incansablemente para arrojar luz sobre preocupaciones en materia de derechos humanos. Reconocemos la importancia de estos esfuerzos para lograr cambios positivos en diversas comunidades.<\/p>\n

Estas u\u0301ltimas amenazas surgieron despue\u0301s de que el Sr. Gonza\u0301lez, un valiente defensor de los derechos humanos y la justicia, expusiera sin miedo los riesgos a los que se enfrenta una comunidad del departamento del Cauca, Colombia.<\/p>\n

Denunciamos firmemente cualquier accio\u0301n dirigida a oprimir las voces que ponen de manifiesto las injusticias y defienden a los vulnerables. Es imperativo que los defensores de los derechos humanos este\u0301n protegidos y empoderados para continuar con sus valiosas contribuciones.<\/p>\n

Como compan\u0303eros miembros de la sociedad civil de ICoCA, nos solidarizamos con aquellos que se dedican a la bu\u0301squeda de la justicia y los derechos humanos y pedimos que se salvaguarden los derechos de todas las personas, especialmente de aquellas en situacio\u0301n de vulnerabilidad.<\/p>\n
