Los proveedores de seguridad privada desempe\u00f1an un papel fundamental en el apoyo a sus clientes. Pueden ser cada vez m\u00e1s solicitados para prestar servicios a operaciones humanitarias en distintos pa\u00edses o para ayudar a aplicar cierres y otras medidas de contenci\u00f3n, lo que les da a menudo el poder de decidir qui\u00e9n puede tener libertad de movimiento o no.<\/p>\n<p>En estos tiempos dif\u00edciles, es crucial garantizar la rendici\u00f3n de cuentas ante el personal y la poblaci\u00f3n &#8211; y la prevenci\u00f3n y protecci\u00f3n frente a la explotaci\u00f3n, el abuso y el acoso sexuales (PSEAH) &#8211; mientras se prestan los servicios. La experiencia de emergencias anteriores ha demostrado que el riesgo de SEAH aumenta durante la ampliaci\u00f3n de las operaciones. El aumento de la plantilla o el cambio de personal, combinado con una demanda elevada y un suministro insuficiente o desigual de alimentos, productos sanitarios, de higiene y otros suministros, aumenta los riesgos. Adem\u00e1s, las pautas de explotaci\u00f3n y abuso perpet\u00faan los ciclos de inseguridad e inestabilidad en entornos ya plagados de violencia prolongada. Por lo tanto, el PSEAH constituye un componente esencial de una estrategia de paz y seguridad significativa.<\/p>\n<p>El C\u00f3digo <a href=\"https:\/\/icoca.ch\/es\/the-code\/\">Internacional de Conducta para Proveedores de Servicios de Seguridad Privada<\/a> (\u00abel C\u00f3digo\u00bb) establece, en su p\u00e1rrafo 38, requisitos claros para las empresas miembros de ICoCA sobre la prevenci\u00f3n y el tratamiento de la explotaci\u00f3n y los abusos sexuales y la violencia de g\u00e9nero. Trabajar de forma responsable, demostrando buenas pr\u00e1cticas en el cumplimiento de los requisitos del C\u00f3digo, as\u00ed como de las expectativas de los clientes, los donantes y la poblaci\u00f3n en general, es importante para mantener la confianza, credibilidad y reputaci\u00f3n de la empresa y del sector en su conjunto.<\/p>\n<p>ICoCA ha elaborado orientaciones espec\u00edficas para que sus empresas miembros refuercen las medidas PSEAH durante las operaciones COVID-19, y est\u00e1 prestando apoyo individualizado para facilitar su adopci\u00f3n.
