En junio de 2022 hab\u00eda 12 empresas de este tipo con sede en Irak; en la actualidad hay 19. Con 16 PSC extranjeras, actualmente hay 35 empresas miembros y afiliadas del ICoCA operando en Irak. Para apoyar a estas empresas y comprender mejor los retos a los que se enfrentan, ICoCA envi\u00f3 un equipo a Bagdad del 11 al 17 de marzo.<\/p>\n<p>El crecimiento de las empresas miembros y afiliadas a ICoCA en Irak no tiene precedentes, y est\u00e1 claro que ICoCA, como punto de referencia del compromiso de una empresa de seguridad privada con los derechos humanos, es muy valorada tanto por las empresas de seguridad privada como por sus clientes, como demuestra el aumento de los requisitos de licitaci\u00f3n para ICoCA. Irak cuenta con un sector de seguridad privada muy maduro y las normas internacionales est\u00e1n muy extendidas. ICoCA, y en particular la Certificaci\u00f3n ICoCA, es una parte clave de las normas internacionales que se est\u00e1n exigiendo.<\/p>\n<p>En Bagdad, el personal de ICoCA se reuni\u00f3 con empresas de seguridad privada que se han adherido a ICoCA, y tambi\u00e9n con empresas de seguridad privada que est\u00e1n interesadas en adherirse y asumir ese compromiso con los derechos humanos. ICoCA tambi\u00e9n se reuni\u00f3 con clientes de PSC y miembros de la comunidad diplom\u00e1tica, con el objetivo de dar a conocer ICoCA y el valor que aporta. Los mensajes clave se centraron en la diligencia debida en materia de derechos humanos y en c\u00f3mo el ICoCA puede ayudar a una organizaci\u00f3n -tanto a un PSC como a un cliente que contrata servicios de seguridad- a cumplir con sus responsabilidades en materia de derechos humanos.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, el ICoCA se reuni\u00f3 con organizaciones de la sociedad civil de todo Irak para conocer, desde su perspectiva \u00fanica, c\u00f3mo las empresas de servicios p\u00fablicos pueden afectar a las comunidades locales y qu\u00e9 cambios deben promoverse.<\/p>\n<p>Sobre la base del importante crecimiento de las empresas miembros y afiliadas a ICoCA, se espera una mayor expansi\u00f3n a medida que los clientes que contratan servicios de seguridad exijan cada vez m\u00e1s a ICoCA en sus licitaciones, y tanto estos clientes como las empresas de servicios p\u00fablicos reconozcan m\u00e1s plenamente sus responsabilidades en materia de derechos humanos.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ICoCA Observa un Crecimiento sin Precedentes de las Empresas de Seguridad Privadas en Irak &nbsp; Irak est\u00e1 experimentando una expansi\u00f3n significativa en el n\u00famero de Empresas de Seguridad Privada (PSC) miembros y afiliados del ICoCA.
